“The cynic knows the price of everything and the value of nothing.”

Why not start the blog post off with a bit of Oscar Wilde, and there is you thinking you were just looking in on someone building with Lego.

You may have read in the past, that I have put what I have built so far on EBAY, It was a sale which had more to do with, "Well, if you will give me 10 grand then you can have it" I honestly don't want to sell the stadium, although I have no practical purpose for what I have built so far, and it will more than likely be sold in the future.

At present it is finding a value, I did when I put the stadium up for sale last time around get a few messages from someone advising me that they wanted to make a bid, but it wouldn't accept any of the bids they wanted to submit. I asked what the bid was? Thought it would be interesting to see what figure they plucked out of the sky. It all turned into a scenario like asking our lass the same question. I love our lass to bits, but our lass will never guess at anything. I think it is because she doesn't gamble, so has no need to formulate a value or guesstamate on something she doesn't know or have interest in. I can push and push, but I will get no reply, or if I do get a reply it is so wide of the mark, you may well have asked How far to the Moon? To which the reply would be Tuesday.

This person fell under the same category, when pushed they said they would bid £50, I wouldn't mind, as they did say they had no idea about the value of Lego, having just bought a set for £15, but I did think get real. £50! But I did ask, and they gave me their value. No different to how I would sell for £10k I presume. Is either of the figures fanciful or correct. Come a moment of crisis whats more useful, Lego or a box of matches? which would you pay the higher price for?

So there you have it, My Lego Stadium has a current value of £50, as that is the best offer it has had so far. Would be interesting what a true value would come in at, feel free to share your thoughts in the comment section.
