Darlos Revenge bounce back with a great league win. (match report)

It hasn't been a great start to the football season for my team on Hattrick Football. Having one the first game in the cup, the following game was a defeat against a must win team, and then knocked out of the cup in the 2nd round.

This game was always going to be easy, as it was a bot team (not run by another player) But it still had to be won. and 9-0 was infactic as Leicester. That should make everyone happy.

Below is the report on the game

The 12000 spectators at Golden Arena were in for an afternoon of sunshine. Gérard Moreau was the appointed referee with assistance provided by Paolo Giotto and Lars Gilliam.

For some players the sunny weather was bad news. It made Powerful and Quick players a bit sluggish. For Technical players, it was instead an advantage, allowing them to shine on the pitch.

Lineup: Strutt - PikeBennetHuggartHughes - RoslandKingColchesterAggett - DonlonPillay.

The following players had been chosen: Mayer - VerleghDiezma DillanesBělohlav - BurtonWeigallŞoimaMarquisAbalos - FiorentinoYoung.

It was to be a contest between two different football philosophies, since the home team started the game with a 4-4-2 formation while the visitors instead opted for 3-5-2.
0
Revenge saw most attack opportunities on the wings, taking advantage of their extra-terrestrial level with that tactic.
3
Revenge took the lead 3 minutes into the game, making the score 0 - 1 after some elegant movement down the middle. James Young was the scorer.
28
Having taken a hard knock between his legs, Kevin Marquis limped off the pitch in a reduced state of dignity. He could not continue, with 28 minutes on the clock, could this prove costly for his team?
28
Ryan Frazer tried to hide a smile as he entered the field. He had not expected to get a chance this day.
30
After 30 minutes, Revenge's Rob Burton burst through the central defence and let loose a cannonball of a shot, scoring for 0 - 2.
33
Robert Şoima increased the visitors' lead by putting a volley away after a pass from the right. 0 - 3.
34
One of many good crosses from David Abalos on the wing was received and skillfully taken care of by Rob Burton, who scored for Revenge. 0 - 4
36
James Young received a delicate pass through the home side's central defence after 36 minutes, and chipped it past the flailing keeper to score making it 0 - 5. The Revenge fans went wild, whilst the home fans started to think about leaving early.
39
It emerged that James Young had hurt his left foot after 39 minutes, which led him to abandon the game.
39
The replacement for the injured player was Joe Hadley.
39
With James Young no longer on the pitch, Ryan Frazer took over free kick duty.
43
Revenge's David Abalos refused to leave the field despite hurting his back 43 minutes into the match.
44
Revenge had a good opportunity to attack in the middle, but remembered their instructions to focus on wing attacks instead.
44
44 minutes into the match, the visitors put themselves ahead 0 - 6 as Stephan Weigall finished off an attack from the left with a spectacular scissors kick.
44
Fc.Oradea's Bill Rosland was shown a yellow card after 44 minutes for slicing down an opponent.
45
0 - 6 was the halftime score.
45
Revenge enjoyed most of the ball, as they maintained 69 percent of possession.
59
After 59 minutes, an incisive pass through the middle gave Rob Burton a chance to increase the lead for Revenge, and he did not disappoint. The score was then 0 - 7.
59
By then Rob Burton had scored three goals - a hat trick!
65
Lee Strutt got a fingertip on Remmelt Verlegh's shot from the left 65 minutes in, and managed to keep the visitors from going up another goal.
67
The opposing supporters gave the referee an earful when he only gave Gerard Donlon from Fc.Oradea a yellow card after a mistimed challenge from behind 67 minutes into the game. That was far too lenient!
68
Revenge's Robert Şoima took a knock to the head after 68 minutes, due to a badly executed header. He took a few uneasy steps, but got dizzy and then taken off the field.
68
This gave Edward Shaylor a chance to take to the field instead.
69
The referee signalled a penalty 69 minutes into the game following an offence which looked like it was outside the box. Ryan Frazer knocked it home to make the score 0 - 8.
89
The referee decided to let play continue for an additional 5 minutes beyond the regular 90 minutes.
90+0
Revenge increased their lead after 90 minutes when Remmelt Verlegh broke through on the right, upping the score to 0 - 9, much to the home crowd's dismay.
90+1
It was obvious that Revenge had instructions to attack on the wings instead of in the middle.
90+1
With the scoreboard showing that 91 minutes had been played, Revenge nearly put themselves up another goal after Joe Hadley came through on the left. Fortunately for the home crowd, the keeper made the save.
90+2
After several obvious shirt pulling incidents, Edward Shaylor got himself booked. The manager of Revenge was not happy.
90+5
The match ends 0 - 9.
Possession in the forty-five minutes was dominated by Revenge, with 70 percent of the ball.
Fc.Oradea's top performer was clearly Jeff Huggart.
Lee Strutt was a disappointment, however.
Most important Revenge player was Joe Hadley.
Remmelt Verlegh on the other hand, had a terrible day.
